Anyone in the world

Let’s be honest, the Commons is dull most nights. Budgets, neon lights policy jargon, same old speeches. But one night in May 2025, MPs went rogue — because they lit up over glowing tubes. Yasmin Qureshi, Labour MP went all-in defending glass-and-gas craft. She called out the fakes. Her line? If it’s not bent glass filled with neon gas, it ain’t neon. Sharp speech. Neon is an art form, not a gimmick. Stockton North’s Chris McDonald who bragged about neon art in Teesside. Cross-party vibes were glowing.

Then came the killer numbers: just 27 neon benders left in Britain. No apprentices. Skills vanish. She called for law like Harris Tweed or Champagne. Save the skill. Out of nowhere, DUP’s Jim Shannon chimed in. He dropped stats. Growth at 7.5% yearly. His point: neon is a future industry. Closing the circus was Chris Bryant. He couldn’t resist wordplay. The benches laughed. But behind the jokes, the case was strong. He nodded to cultural landmarks: Piccadilly Circus.

He even argued neon lasts longer than LED. So what’s the fight? Simple: consumers are being conned. Trust disappears. Think Cornish pasties. If names mean something, why not neon?. This wasn’t just politics. Do we want every high street glowing with plastic sameness? We’ll keep it blunt: plastic is trash. So yeah, Parliament went neon. Still just debate, the case is made. If they’ll argue for glow in Westminster, you can back it at home.

Skip the plastic. Bring the glow.
